I arrived here Thursday evening and was greeted by a swarm of kids and friends at the church, who were there celebrating the third year of Plan B Club being open. It was wonderful to see so many friends again! I know it has only been a year, but some of these kids have really grown a lot, and many of them are speaking more English too. I always find it amazing to think back about when I first met some of these kids and then realize how much they have grown!

On Friday, I helped at ReStart Club (an Elementary Youth Group); we started by playing "Ships across the Ocean" - a game the kids and leaders remembered I had taught them last year, and then we played soccer. I knew it wouldn't be long before I got to play soccer again as it is a beloved sport here. Additionally, some of the students and leaders took turns sharing their favorite Bible story and why they like it.
I found choosing a favorite story from the Bible difficult myself, but I narrowed it down to a few; yet, it was ironic because after ReStart Club was Wembloud Club (High School/Young Adult Youth Group), and the youth pastor spoke of the story of Nehemiah - probably my highest ranking story in my list of favorites! Before Wembloud Club, I was able to meet some new girls who have recently started coming to youth group, and some of them who have a new faith in Christ! It is exciting to see their desire to be at youth group and with other Christians. At Wembloud Club, we also play many games. We played a Live Action Board Game thoughout the club room as well as a sitting version of Human Foosball. It was a fun night of reconnecting with friends and meeting new ones!
Playing Human Foosball
Yesterday, I spent the day at home with all my host siblings and host parents. I love spending time with each of my five host siblings, who all seem to be excited to share moments of their day with me - even the littlest one (1.5 years old) found out my knees make a great bouncy! In the afternoon, a couple girls came to play wiht my host sisters. I had never met them before, but they looked familiar; I soon found out their older sister is a little friend of mine who has been in my English Class at LetFest the past three years! I was excited to meet her two little sisters and asked if they would also be coming to LetFest. The older of the two said she is already signed up, but the littler one said she was not sure about going to LetFest yet. We continued playing a variety of games throughout the afternoon, and by the time the girls had to leave, I heard the littlest one ask my host mom "How long will Kendra be here?" My host mom explained that I will be around until the end of summer, but also that LetFest is a fun time with even more native English speakers and lots more games and activities. I am praying this little girl comes to LetFest, and I hope to see her and her sisters around more!
Thank you all for your prayers surrounding travel and for your continual prayers throughout the summer. I am excited to see all that God has planned for these next three months!
