If you read the "Purpose" and "Vision" sections I have on this blog, I am sure you have begun to realize I have a huge passion for sharing God's love in Czech. Czech is a huge part of who I am, but it wouldn't be that way if it wasn't for the way God first became the most important part of my life. I have experienced God's consistency through the roller coaster of life events and confidently know my relationship with Him is the most important part of life's journey. He faithfully demonstrates unconditional love and teaches me to trust Him in each step.
I love learning and have the gift of teaching. I graduated from my university in the spring of 2016 with a double major in Elementary Education and Bible and a Pre-Primary Endorsement. History has always been my favorite subject. I'm a classic bookworm and read on average a book a week. During the pandemic of 2020, I fulfilled one of my life dreams and wrote a book. It is titled "Before Home Found Us" (check out my author website at kendrahavlicek.com).
One of my favorite kinds of days is on my bike with my hammock and a book in my bag. I love being outside, and I can sit by a window watching a thunderstorm for as long as it takes to roll by. I'm a "jack-of-all-sports-master-of-none" type; my favorites are volleyball, biking, ice skating, skiing/snowboarding, and baseball. You can always count on me to join in on a game of foosball. I'm fifth generation in Minnesota and grew up in a rural Czech community about 10 miles from where my great-great-grandfather first settled! Ancestry searching is a hobby of mine; I've traced my family back to the early 1500s.
My family, friends, and mentors are a huge support in this ministry in the Czech Republic. I am especially grateful to Global Link Partners, ELIM, Friendship Church, FaithPoint Church, and my family for all their love and support. Knowing that I have encouragement from so many people is heartwarming beyond what words can express. Thank you for all your prayers throughout this journey!
