Girls at Plan B!

On Thursday, I taught English Class at the church to the biggest group so far at Plan E! There were so many kids, and it was so fun!  I taught the class about insects, and we made fingerprint insects on paper and then all went for a scavenger hunt outside for the insects.  The best part of the afternoon was there were a total of ten girls at Plan B, which the youth pastor says is the most girls to ever attend in one day!  This is so encouraging because I hope I can be a draw for these girls and more girls to come to club time, and hopefully become further connected with the church.

On Friday, I had my last English lesson at the Elementary School.  It was really great to see how the English teachers in the schools teach and really understand the different levels of English that the students are at.  It was fun getting to meet many new kids at the school, and they all seem to know I am American!  My favorite is so many of the kids love to just wave and say "hello"!  The best part is, in Czech there are three words that are interchangeably used for hello and goodbye, so sometimes the younger kids get confused and say "hello" when they are leaving!  I think it is adorable :)

Later Friday afternoon, I taught the Re-Start Club again (a Bible Class for kids).  We talked about listening to God's directions and how sometimes we can be distracted by everything else that is going on in our lives.  To demonstrate, we played one game where one partner was on one side of the circular-echo room, and was yelling out directions to their partner on the opposite side of the room who was "blind" and had to make it to the other side without touching the cushions on the ground.  We then played the game again, but this time, one partner could hold their partner's hand and guide them through the room.  We then read the story of Jonah using a picture book FaithPoint Church sent with me.  The kids loved the pictures!  Lastly, we made "Jonah Catchers" by drawing Jonah on a folded sheet of paper and making a whale out of a rolled piece of paper.  Then the two are connected by a string.  Holding onto the whale, the kids tried to get Jonah into the whale's mouth!

I am excited for more Plan E classes this week, and I am getting even more excited for Friendship Church Czech Team to come as LetFest is getting closer!  I am loving how God is teaching me through teaching and loving others.
