I love all the time I get to spend with the kids here, teaching English, and just playing games!
Last week, I taught Re-Start Club (a children's Bible class). We did the story of Noah - and the kids had fun acting out the story. We created a fort made of cusions for the ark and the kids pretended they were all animals inside for the story. It was fun acting out the story, but my favorite part of the afternoon was playing a game we called "Crazy Ark." Each student got a small sheet of paper with an animal written on it, and someone else in the room had the same animal. The students had to find the other person making the animal noise... with their eyes closed! To make the game even better, we played it in a circular room that echos every little thing. The kids seemed to have fun playing the game (we played many rounds), and I definitely enjoyed watching them all make animal noises and blindly looking for their partner. :)

Today I taught another Plan E (English) class. The students learned new vocabulary words for a Medieval Kingdom. Then, we all (the students, translators, and I) worked on a big picture creating a kingdom and labeling it all in English. I was very impressed with the amount of artistic abilities these seven guys have as I watched them draw the dragon, castles, knights, and all other parts of the picture! As we were working on the picture, I taught the guys a guessing game. They had to figure out what item to bring the king in order to be accepted into the palace - the difficult part was that only I knew the rule and everyone else had to figure it out! It took multiple rounds for everyone to catch onto the game, but after I had brought the king some keys, a kite, kangaroos, a knife, and kittens, someone finally caught on that the item you bring the king also has to start as the same letter as your name! It was fun seeing their faces light up when they finally figured out the pattern.

I am excited for more English classes this week, and can't wait to see what God has in store for all these students through English classes and club times!
